  To whomever this may concern, the woman that I will be speaking about in this comment was working today, around 1pm, on 5/27/17. I did ot get her name, but she was on register at the time. My mother and I have frequented the Cato stores in the area, and have never had a negative experience, UNTIL TODAY. I am newly pregnant and have been battling the nausea and sickness that comes with being in the first Trimester. LONG STORY SHORT, my mother had pulled over in the same shopping center where the Cato store is located, and I was literally hanging out of the car door throwing up. My husband ran inside Cato to ask one of the woman/employees for a bag, JUST A BAG, and the woman was not only rude to my husband..but refused to give him a bag..even though he told the woman that his wife is pregnant and sick. After I finished throwing up, I composed myself and walked inside to speak with the same woman my husband spoke with. I was polite, but firm in expressing to her that what she said was unreasonable. She was very curt, and all she said was "we don't give out bags," and "you can call corporate if you have a problem." This woman ruined my Cato experience, and I honestly don't feel comfortable ever shopping and giving my business to this company again, especially if the company supports an attitude and an employee like that. By the way, I happened to frequent several other retail stores and asked them the same question, and they had NO PROBLEM in providing me with a plastic bag.
